Bojune Kwon Solo Exhibition

As a foreigner eager for contact, I was struck by the difficulty I faced in making real connections. Despite the crush of people that inhabited New York City, I felt alone.
I found myself getting accustomed to feeling indifferent. I started to think that maybe, within a city, people do not make the effort to know each other. This behavior was natural. Stressed, selfish, scared-We pass one another, like ghosts.
My images of shrouded people explore that part of our existence. Within the city, we are all faceless. Marked by rain and composed of hundreds of photographs, I am interested in the neurosis that the modern city generates.

Bojune Kwon is a freelance and fine-art photographer with a professional background in commercial photography. He was born and raised in South Korea where he majored in photography at Kyung-Il University. He then proceeded to graduate from New York City’s School of Visual Arts, earning a Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography.

As an artist, he is deeply involved in landscape photography. Kwon’s artistic photographs have received awards in several international photography contests.
Kwon currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
